The Criminal Investigation Division provides the citizens of Comanche County with a professional law enforcement investigative team.
The Criminal Investigation Division is responsible to follow-up investigations from the initial offense report taken by the responding Deputy through presenting the completed investigation to the District Attorney for review and/or the filing of charges. The Criminal Investigations Division aggressively investigate felony and misdemeanor offenses to successfully identify, apprehend and prosecute offenders.
The Criminal Investigation Division consists of six state-certified peace officers. Included in this number are 1 Lieutenant (CID Commander), 1 Sergeant, two full-time Investigators and two Reserve Investigators. All personnel attend specialized training each year including such classes as Interview and Interrogation, Homicide Investigation, and Evidence Collection and Preservation.
