S.T.A.R. POSSE

The Comanche County Sheriff's Department has chosen the name "S.T.A.R. Posse" for our tactical team. STAR is an acronym for Special Tactics and Response. The term "Posse" is in honor of the historical use of a sheriff's posse to handle law enforcement in unusual situations. The STAR Posse is composed of Deputies selected from the various divisions of the department.
